江戸時代に再興された九谷焼の様式の一つ「吉田屋」の特徴である、赤を使わない「青（緑）・黄・紫・紺青」の四彩で構成されています。器全体を余白なく塗りつぶす「塗り埋め」の技法により、重厚感と格式高さを感じさせる仕上がりです。
この作品は、美山窯の職人が一点一点筆を執り、牡丹の花びら一枚から葉の脈に至るまで丁寧に描き込んでいます。プリント（転写）製品にはない、筆の勢いや絵具の盛り上がり（厚み）があり、手に取った際に職人の体温が伝わってくるような質感が魅力です。

This piece features four colors—blue (green), yellow, purple, and navy blue—without the use of red, characteristic of Yoshidaya, a style of Kutani ware revived during the Edo period. The "filling" technique, which paints the entire vessel completely without leaving any white space, creates a finish that exudes a sense of dignity and sophistication.
